You pay in the app when you book. Your money is held securely and released to the artisan when you confirm the job is done, or automatically after 5 days if you do not confirm. Checkout shows every charge before you pay, including our 8.5% service fee and the card processing fee. Some artisans offer a piece of work paid upfront, and when they do, the app tells you clearly and asks you to tick a box before you pay.
Report the problem in the app before you confirm the job, and our team steps in to help resolve it. Do this before the 5 day auto release, because once payment is released, or if an artisan was paid upfront, that money has already gone to them. Your payment is protected until you are happy.
Artisans set their own prices. MyFixam adds a service fee of 8.5% on top, and your card provider adds a processing fee. Every charge is itemised at checkout before you pay, and you can tap the (i) next to any fee in the app to see exactly what it is for.
Yes. You can cancel free with a full refund any time before your artisan accepts, and for up to 12 hours after they accept. Open the booking from Orders and tap Cancel booking. After that window, use Report a problem instead and our team will step in. If an artisan was paid upfront for a piece of work, that upfront share is non-refundable.
Most bookings are held securely until you confirm the job. Some artisans set a service or a piece of work to be paid upfront, either 30%, 50% or the full amount, which is released to them before they start. When that applies, the app says so clearly and asks you to tick a box confirming you understand it is non-refundable before you can pay.
Tap Post a Job on the home screen, describe what you need and your budget, then post it. Nearby artisans send you bids you can compare and accept in chat. Every post is checked automatically before it goes live, so adverts and contact details are filtered out.
When the customer confirms the job is done, or automatically after 5 days, your full price is credited to your MyFixam wallet. The service fee is paid by the customer on top, so it is never taken out of your price. Add your bank in the app, then withdraw from your wallet whenever you like, less your bank provider's transfer fee.
Go to the Profile tab, tap Services, then add or open a service. Choose Set a price, enter your amount, then under Payment to you choose On completion, 30% upfront, 50% upfront or Full upfront. You can set the same on any priced photo in your gallery.
Open your profile settings and tap Get verified. You will enter your NIN and take a live selfie, which is matched to your official record. Verification is optional and you can keep accepting jobs while you wait, but the green badge builds trust and unlocks the 30% materials advance.
Yes. Tap Complete my profile with AI in your account. Add a few photos of your work and one line about what you do, in English or Pidgin, and it drafts your description, your trade and your services with suggested prices based on what artisans near you charge. You review and edit everything before anything is saved.
Open Notification settings in the app and turn on Push notifications. If your phone previously blocked them, the app will take you to your phone settings so you can switch them back on. Once on, you get alerts for new messages and bookings even when the app is closed.
Open the MyFixam Assistant from your home screen, your Help and support screen, or the top of your Messages. Ask it anything in your own words and it will tell you exactly where to tap, with a shortcut that takes you straight to the right screen. If it cannot answer, it will connect you to our founder directly.
